Originally from Hartford City, IN, Scott has been working in the fitness industry with over 8 years of experience in the field. Graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University, he has a background in powerlifting and Sports Performance as he started training in powerlifting at the age of 15 with the goal of becoming a college athlete. He utilizes the foundations of strength training and his background in working with athletes to help people look and feel their best!

Scott has worked with clients ranging from weight loss, strength training, and athletic performance showing a range in results based on what you’re looking to achieve! Certified by the NSCA, USAW, and Precision Nutrition, he also works as a Nutrition Coach and loves to teach Olympic Lifting movements. With a true Midwest personality, Scott brings the passion and knowledge needed to help people achieve their goals!

Alex is a NASM certified personal trainer who has been working in the fitness industry for just over a year. Though he’s new to working in the industry, Alex’s knowledge and first hand experience from the years prior show his dedication to the industry.

Coming from a background of sports, Alex learned the basics of strength and agility training. Starting at 265 pounds, Alex would go on to lose 80 pounds and find a new passion in fitness.

Whether it be weight loss, strength training, or just a lifestyle improvement, Alex is a trainer with the energy and passion to guide clients to their goals.

Jesse is a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with NASM, having years of experience working with clients to achieve their weight loss and strength goals, including numerous athletes. Jesse holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and is passionate about helping people improve their lives through fitness and nutrition.

With a background in sports and personal experience with weight loss, Jesse is equipped to assist anyone with their fitness goals, whether it’s gaining muscle, losing weight, or improving their athletic performance.

Personal Trainer Sam Ortiz at Carbon Performance

Sam Ortiz grew up in New York, where she was active in soccer and lacrosse until a scoliosis diagnosis at age 8 shifted her path. After wearing a back brace for five years, she discovered strength training at 13, which helped reverse a severe spinal curve and avoid surgery—igniting her lifelong passion for fitness.

Sam holds a degree in Dietetics from SUNY Oneonta and is certified as a NASM-CPT, Precision Nutrition Level 1 and 2 Coach, and Girls Gone Strong Pre & Postnatal Specialist. She is currently pursuing her Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification.

In October 2023, Sam competed in her first bodybuilding show, further deepening her dedication to strength training, body recomposition, and functional fitness. She creates personalized programs designed to help clients build strength, transform their bodies, and reach their goals in a supportive, results-driven environment.

With a solid foundation in healthcare and a passion for fitness, Caleb brings a unique blend of expertise to his role as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. Caleb’s journey into the world of fitness began in the military where he obtained his nursing license followed by a six-year career working in the medical field. As a nurse, Caleb developed a deep understanding of the human body and the importance of holistic health.

Caleb’s dedication to health and wellness led him to compete in two bodybuilding competitions. These competitions were transformative, pushing him to new physical and mental heights, and igniting a passion for bodybuilding that he brings into his training philosophy. To further enhance his expertise, Caleb earned certifications as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). With these credentials, Caleb has an advanced knowledge in exercise science, nutrition, and client-centered coaching techniques that enable him to create comprehensive, individualized fitness and nutrition plans.
